Founded by Bernie and Ileana after relocating from Miami, Angels Watching Home Watch was born from a deeply personal journey. Following the heartbreaking loss of their daughter in 2022, they were guided—through faith, healing, and what they describe as Angelic Divine Intervention—to Sarasota, a city long known for its spiritual energy and restorative atmosphere. Here, they found comfort, community, and the inspiration to create a service dedicated to protecting others’ homes with compassion and integrity.
Meet Bernie – Certified Home Watch Expert
Bernie is a recently retired Commercial Airline Pilot with more than 40 years of experience in the aviation industry. His background in construction, engineering, and aviation has shaped his exceptional attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and ability to identify issues before they become costly problems. Raised on a farm in Wisconsin, Bernie learned the value of hard work, honesty, and dependable relationships from an early age.
Bernie is also a Certified Home Watch Professional through the Florida Home Watch Association, ensuring that every inspection follows the highest standards in the industry. His training, discipline, and commitment to excellence make him uniquely qualified to safeguard your home and investment property.
Meet Ileana – Caring, Experienced, and Dedicated
Ileana brings over 33 years of airline industry experience, along with a strong background in real estate, customer service, and communication. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she understands the importance of trust, clarity, and genuine care when working with homeowners. Born in Cuba and raised in Texas, Ileana came to the United States at age seven and witnessed firsthand the dedication required to build a new life. Her compassionate nature and strong work ethic shine through in every home she cares for.
